PTI Karachi chief resigns over ‘humiliating’ defeat in LB polls

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Karachi president Ali Zaidi has resigned from his post while another senior leader Arif Alvi has proposed to step down following PTI’s drubbing in the Karachi local bodies elections, ARY News reported.

Sources told that Zaidi has tendered his resignation while Arif Alvi has expressed his wish to resign as party’s Sindh organizer.

Mr. Zaidi was PTI’s organizer in Karachi LB polls. Ali Zaidi has conceded the defeat and resigned from the post.

However the resignation has not yet been accepted. The final decision will be made by party chairman Imran Khan
