PTI not demanding mid-term elections, clarify Qureshi, Hashmi
LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leaders, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Makhdoom Javed Hashmi have said that we are not demanding for mid-term elections, yet the Government has failed to control increasing inflation in the state – ARY News reports.
While meeting the family of slain Allama Nasir Abbas, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the Government has failed completely and vowed to continue protest against inflation. He added that the next protest will be in Umer Kot, Sindh on January 6 while on 24th a demonstration will be staged in Rawalpindi.
Qureshi told that yesterday's protest rally was peaceful and not a single glass was broken during that.
In return to a question, he stated that NATO supply have been blocked for a month, whereas the traffic is still flowing smoothly.
On this occasion, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi expressed his sorrow over the killings of almost 40 Ulema and professors this year.
Commenting on the Local Body (LB) elections, he said that the polls should be held under the supervision of the Judiciary not the district administration.
He warned that if the polls were rigged then the Government and the administration will have to bear its outcome.
Both the leaders also prayed to Allah to grant eternal peace to the soul of Allama Nasir Abbas and to higher his stage in the hereafter.
