LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has submitted a resolution in Punjab Assembly to stop scheduled final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Lahore, ARY News reported.

Shahneela Roth, a minority member of Punjab Assembly affiliated with PTI, has submitted the resolution at the assembly’s secretiariat.

The resolution says, “Thousands will attend the final of the PSL including the foreign citizens. Any untoward incident during the match will make the country a laughing stock in the world.”

The government of Punjab after a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday had given its nod for holding the showcase match of the cricket league in Lahore.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah also told ARY News that the meeting, after hours of deliberation, decided to hold the PSL final in Lahore.

The Punjab administration is taking all measures necessary to hold the final in the city and has assured players about the security arrangements in and outside the Gaddafi Stadium.
