On the occasion of their foundation day on April 24, the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf has decided to conduct a large public gathering at D-Chowk in Islamabad. This will be Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf’s twentieth foundation day, since the party was founded by Imran Khan on April 24, 1996. Imran Khan has also called a meeting of his party’s top leadership in order to discuss the political gathering slated for April 24.
It is likely that Imran Khan will criticise the Sharif family and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during his address at the foundation day. This is because the Prime Minister is currently facing a deepening crisis as calls for him to resign have increased, following the recent Panama Papers’ controversy which have shed light on off-shore companies owned by the PM’s sons and daughter.
