PTI wants mid-term polls, if rigging proved: Qureshi

FAISALABAD: PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said mid-term elections should be held in the country, if rigging is proved in the 2013 polls, ARY News reported.

Talking to journalists here, Qureshi said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was ready for the mid-term elections.

He said government wanted to delay by-elections in Multan. He appealed the Multan administrations to stay impartial in delivering their responsibilities.

He said the Election Commission of Pakistan must not allow anyone to violate election code of conduct. The PTI leader said he had requested the NA speaker to summon all PTI lawmakers together to seek their resignations.

To a question, he said Imran Khan went to Multan and offered condolences to the heirs of those died.
