LAHORE: Activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) turned raged when they arrived at the Lahore High Court (LHC), accompanying their party head Imran Khan, ARY News reported Wednesday.
Khan had arrived at the LHC in a case related to checking of NA-122 record. The PML-N leader Ayaz Sadiq, who is also a sitting National Assembly speaker, was declared winner from NA-122. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), on a petition of PTI, had ordered recounting of votes in the constituency which was challenged by Sadiq at the LHC.
The PTI workers shouted slogans against the Geo and Jang group at the courtroom.
The LHC Chief Justice Umar Bandial expressed his annoyance over the incident and left the courtroom, saying such an environment was in contravention of the court’s dignity.
