KARACHI: A survey report showed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s government had until now gained good public support.

“49 percent Pakistanis opine that the current government’s performance is better than the previous government’s performance,” said a Gilani Research Foundation survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan.

“A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked ‘Some people think that PTI’s performance until now has been better than the previous government while others think that it is worse. What do you think about this?’

“In response to this question, 49% said it is better, 27% it is worse, 18% said there is no difference amongst the two, while 6% did not know or respond to the question,” said the report while revealing mechanism of the survey.

This survey was carried out among a sample of 1550 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, between August 27 and September 03, 2018. Error margin is estimated to be about ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.

In a statement, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the government would present a comprehensive programme to the nation showing its performance and direction in education, health, poverty alleviation and other vital sectors during the first 100 days.

He said the first 100 days report assumed a significant importance in any government as it informed the people about government’s direction and future course of action.
