Public service earned PPP seats in Tharparkar, says Qaim

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said on Tuesday his party had won the seats in Tharparkar due to public service, ARY News reported.

Addressing a Sindh Assembly session, the CM said thousands of people were provided employment in Tharparkar. He said Thar was highly important district for Pakistan. Lack of rainfall developed a drought-like situation in the district, he added.

He bemoaned that around 190 people died of drought in Tharparkar during the tenure of caretaker government last year, but no one highlighted it.

Qaim stated that the roads of motorway-quality were constructed in Tharparkar. The chief minister added that the government was dealing the drought-like situation in Thar for last six years.
