Punjab announces metro bus services in three cities

LAHORE: Punjab Cabinet approved the Metro Bus Serice to be run in three major cities of the province namely Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Multan in a meeting today in Lahore, ARY News reports.

The meeting of the provincial cabinet was chaired by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif. According to sources, 38 billion rupees will have to be spent on metro bus service from Islamabad to Rawalpindi and its foundation will be laid by the end of this month.

Shahbaz Sharif has instructed the authorities to complete the project in Rawalpindi and Faisalabad within eleven months.

He also approved to computerize the records of the land matters and said that it will help reduce corruption.

On the other hand, Additional Chief Secretary Punjab briefed CM Punjab about the coal based energy projects. Shahbaz Sharif stated that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is giving importance to coal based power projects as well as the construction of solar parks.
