LAHORE: Lahore flour mills owners have announced indefinite strike from today to protest against Punjab Food Authority's orders, ARY News reported on Monday.

Pakistan Flour Mills Association has announced strike against Punjab Food Authority's orders about a new licence and the sampling system.

The millers have refused to take the wheat quota of the government of Punjab and stopped flour supply to the market.

The millers strike has added pressure to the flour prices in the market and the rate of a flour bag of 20 kilogrammes has increased from Rs. 785 to 950 rupees per bag.

The provincial authorities still playing as a silent spectator of the situation as observers apprehend that the flour millers strike will likely to spreat to the entire province.
