Under this Ordinance, no private institution shall charge fee during academic year 2015-16 at the rate higher than the fee charged during previous academic year.
The Registering Authority shall fix the maximum amount of fee to be charged from the students.
Under the amended Ordinance, a sum of Rs 20,000 per day penalty will be imposed on the institution for self increase fee without approval of registering authority. The in-charge of the educational institution may apply to the registering authority at least three months before the start of next academic year, proposing reasonable increase in fee.
Under the Ordinance, an in-charge shall have to register the institution with the registering authority within 45 days of the commencement of this Ordinance.
