Qadri denies reports suggesting any deal with govt

TOP NEWS

Talking to media while departing for Islamabad, Dr Tahirul Qadri said that consultation will be held as he reaches the place of sit-in, whereas the future strategy of his party will be announced after the October 19 rally at Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore.

Speaking about Multan by-elections, he said that Javed Hashmi faced the consequences of the allegations he had leveled about Islamabad sit-ins.

Qadri said that Hashmi leveled baseless allegations and failed to read the pulse of the people. He told that Awami Tehreek held a rally far bigger than what was expected by everyone.

He claimed that the Inqilab March changed the way of thinking of the people and if we had to acquire the Diya (financial compensation) of our workers, we would have accepted Rs 30 lac, which were offered to us earlier.

Tahirul Qadri entirely rejected the reports suggesting any deal between his party and the government, adding that we will ourselves decide whether to continue the sit-in or to end it.
