Qaim confesses delay in wheat supplies to Thar
KARACHI: Sindh's Chief Minister has confessed delay in wheat supplies to Thar, which aggravated the situation in the drought-hit region, ARY News reported on Friday.
Talking to media persons on the situation in Sindh's desert district Qaim Ali Shah said that the wheat could not be supplied to the region in time and delay in relief operations happened due to the illness of the provincial Relief Commissioner.
He said that 41 children in the region died due to the frosty weather and lack of food.
Provincial chief minister said that the medical superintendent of Mithi hospital has been suspended for negligence.
