Quetta mourns Mastung terrorist attack victims
QUETTA: The remains of 24 persons killed in a terrorist attack at a bus of pilgrims near Mastung were brought to Imambargah, as Quetta mourns the victims of terrorism, ARY News reported on Wednesday.
In an attack on a bus of pilgrims 24 persons including women and children were killed and 35 others were injured.
Shutters have been down in Quetta on the call of Hazara Democratic Party, Shia Ulema Conference and other groups to protest against Mastung terrorist attack.
All major markets have been closed in Quetta as the roads have been deserted due to scant vehicular traffic.
Angry people staged sit-in at the Western Bypass today and blocked the road. The protesters have vowed to continue the protest till approval of their demands.
Balochistan University has postponed its papers scheduled to be held today. The exams will now held on January 26, the Controller of Examinations said in an announcement.
It was second attack on Shia pilgrims near Quetta in less than a month. In an earlier attack on January 1, three people were killed when a suicide bomber attacked a bus carrying pilgrims in Quetta.
