MULTAN: Qul Khwani of Major Jahanzeb was held at his house here in Multan, ARY News reports.
Large number of people including Major Jahanzeb's relatives and friends attended the ceremony.
Former Federal Minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi held a special prayer for the martyred soldier.
Major Jahanzeb was martyred near the Frontier Region area near the Pak-Afghan border as militants had ambushed his vehicle.
He succumbed to the wounds he suffered during the clash with terrorists. Three terrorists were also killed in the retaliatory fire by Pakistan Army.
His funeral paryers were held at Corps Headquarters in Peshawar. Top officials, including the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Pervez Khattak had attended the ceremony.
He was buried here in Multan will full military honours. The funeral prayer, in his hometown of Multan, was attended by large number of people.
Major Jahanzeb's father had said that his son's sacrifice will not go in vain.
