PARIS: Pakistan’s Tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and his Indian partner Rohan Bopanna hold their nerve to obstruct opponents Divij Sharan and Ramiz Junaid in their opening match of French Open, ARY News reported.
The sixth seed Qureshi-Bopanna defeated Junaid of Australia and Sharan of India after a tough competition by 7-5, 6-7 (4), 7-5.
The Pak-Indo duo handled the pressure well and geared up them in the third set serving well and converting all three break points.
Qureshi-Bopana will take on either Jonathan Erlich and Marcelo Melo or Frantisek Cermak (CZE) and Mikhail Elgin in the second round.
