COTE D'AZUR: Pakistan’s tennis star Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi and his Indian partner Rohan Bopanna have lost to Martin Klizan and Philipp Oswald in the final of Open de Nice Côte d’Azur and Düsseldorf Open doubles on Saturday, ARY News reported.
Martin Klizan of Slovak Republic and Philipp Oswald of Austria outclassed the top seeds Qureshi-Bopnna with a convincing victory of 6-2, 6-0 in a 52 minutes battle.
Klizan and Oswald broke serve five times for earn their first ATP World Tour team doubles title.
Klizan won the Vegeta Croatia Open Umag crown with David Marrero last year, while Oswald partnered Guillermo Garcia-Lopez to the Brasil Open 2014 trophy.
In 2010, the Pak-Indo duo finished runner-up to Melo-Soares in the same event. As a team Qureshi-Bopanna are 5-9 in finals.
