Qureshi removed from Hazrat Bahauddin Zakriya (RA) succession

TOP NEWS

According to details, Shah Mehmood Qureshi was removed as the Gaddi Nasheen [administrative head] of the Hazrat Bahauddin Zakriya (RA) order [silsila], which he held for past 17 years.

He was heading the Jamaat-e-Ghousia – followers of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakriya (RA) – which has enough spiritual influence mostly in parts of Southern Punjab and adjoining areas of Sindh.

In his exclusive word with ARY News, Qureshi’s brother, Shah Mureed Hussain said that the Jamaat-e-Ghousia is not under the PTI chairman, Imran Khan, while an ineligible heir can be removed from ‘Gaddi Nasheeni’.

Earlier while addressing a press conference in Multan, Hussain had accused Qureshi of spending Rs 50-60 lac donation of Jamaat-e-Ghousia on PTI’s sit-in each month, for which serious reservations persisted among the followers of the order he was administratively heading.

Mureed Hussain had said that if Qureshi returns to the ‘right path’ and quits the ‘practice of using Darbars [sacred tombs] for political gains’, he can be pardoned.
