Rabbani enquires Edhi’s health, condoles with Sabri’s family

While speaking to the media at his residence, Rabbani paid rich tributes to the meritorious services of Edhi and said that he has dedicated his entire life for the services of humanity.

He said that world-class health services were offered in Pakistan, and expressed hope that parliamentarians would also receive treatment from within the country.

He promised to make efforts for the issuance of a postal stamp bearing the image of Abdul Sattar Edhi. The issue has been under consideration and he will  expedite the issuance after reaching Islamabad.

Rabbani also offered condolences to the family of qawwal Amjad Sabri. He said that the services of Sabri cannot be buried forever as he was still alive in the hearts of his fans andfollowers.

He said that Sabri dedicated his entire life to showcase his skills and portray a positive image of Pakistan. Sabri used his craft and skills to express his immense love for the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).

Sabri carried forward his talent across the world and performed in various countries of the world including the United States and United Kingdom. His death has left his loved fans with a heavy heart.

He warned that the government will not allow those mischievous forces who want to spread fear and panic in the country and violate the order of society. The presence of a large number of people at the funeral of Sabri was an indication that people sided with him and was a slap on the face of the terrorists.

He said that the provincial and federal government had informed him that they will arrest the killers of Sabri as soon as possible and give them an exemplarily punishment.

Raza Rabbani was accompanied by senators Shahi Syed of the Awami National Party (ANP), Muthaida Quami Movement (MQM)’s Tahir Mashadi and Saeed Ghani of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
