KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) member, Senator Raza Rabbani has demanded the Federal Government to present the National Security Policy (NSP) in the Senate for a debate on it – ARY News reports.
Talking to media here on Saturday, Senator Raza Rabbani said that the draft of the NSP should be presented in the upper house for a debate. He stated further that the Government does not wish to table the policy in the Senate because it is in minority there.
Rabbani urged the Government to take all the political parties into confidence regarding the prime security policy of the state.
Earlier on February 27, the Government had tabled the policy draft in the National Assembly (NA) for holding a debate on it, however it refrained from making any gesture pertaining to presenting the same draft in the Senate of Pakistan.
