Rain lashes parts of Karachi
KARACHI: As citizens were praying and the PMD had predicted, rain lashed several parts of Karachi on Wednesday evening turning the weather pleasant in the metropolis.
The rainfall hit Saddar, Gushan-e-Maimar, Korangi, Malir, Gulistan-e-Johar, Malir, Gulishan-e-Hadeed and other areas. Also, with the first drop of rain, many areas plunged into darkness.
Chief Meteorologist Tauseef Alam has said that the city would receive light rain during the next 24 hours.
Hours ago, The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) had predicted that drizzle and heavy rain will continue across Pakistan for next 48 hours.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered all the related authorities to stay.
He ordered to drain rain water as soon as possible from all areas. He ordered all provinces to stay prepared to tackle any kind of emergency.
