Efforts are underway to arrest them which may include some political figures as well.
On Saturday, DG NAB Balochistan Major General (r) Tariq Mehmood had said that was unlikely that Raisani was working alone and other could be involved with him.
He said that funds for local government were embezzled by the Raisani who kept it at his house so it could easily be moved easily. He had indicated that several more arrests were likely.
Later, NAB had obtained a 14 day remand from for Raisani after he was presented in an accountability court in handcuffs.
On Friday, Raisani was arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) after a huge treasure trove was discovered in his house worth 630 million rupees including gold, prize bonds and documents of properties in posh areas in several cities across Pakistan.
The news has shaken up the political and bureaucracy circles in the country. There was a furore in the Balochistan Assembly where opposition parties protested against massive corruption in the province. Former CM Balochistan said that he will present himself for accountability as well.
The civil bureaucracy and secretariat officials convened a meeting after the corruption scandal. They discussed the situation in the province and the postings in the province over political grounds.
