The son has posted a post-workout photo with his father standing right beside him in a gym, flaunting his muscles. In the post, Hrithik reveals that his father had been diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago and is about to have surgery for this disease today.

The Kaho Na Pyar Hai protagonist writes a heartfelt note as a caption for the photo that goes like, “Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn’t miss gym on surgery day.” He asserts that his father is unarguably the strongest man he knows. “Got diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it,” he adds. The Zindagi Na Milegi Dubara sensation then expresses his gratitude for being a part of such a family that has Rakesh as its leader. He ends the note by telling his father that he loves him.
