Ramadan moon not sighted; 1st Ramadan ul Mubarek to be on Monday

KARACHI: The Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee of Pakistan has announced that the moon of Ramadan was not sighted in any part of Pakistan and hence the first Ramadan ul Mubarek will be on Monday – ARY News reports.

According to details, the meeting of the Ruet-i-Hilal Committee of Pakistan was held here on Saturday for sighting Ramadan’s moon, Chairman Mufti Muneeb ur Rahman presided the meeting.

The provincial and zonal committees also met for sighting the moon, in their respective regions and zones.

A few moments earlier, Chairman of Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneeb ur Rahman announced that the committee did not receive any testimony of moon sighting from all over Pakistan and hence the first Ramadan ul Mubarek shall be on Monday, June 30.

The weather department officials had earlier said that there is rare chance of the sighting of the moon on Saturday adding that the Ramadan’s first day will most likely be on Monday (June 30th).
