Ramadan Security: 1035 points in K-P declared ‘sensitive’

PESHAWAR: Around 1035 points in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province have been declared sensitive due to security concerns in the fasting month of Ramadan, ARY News reported on Monday.

According to official sources, sensitive areas also included several places of the tribal region.

In Peshawar, northwestern city of Pakistan near Afghanistan border, 195 areas have been declared as sensitive, while in the tribal region stepped up security has been ordered at 100 points to meet any security threat.

The authorities have ordered deployment of additional police force at sensitive places to avoid any untoward incident.

The security authorities have also decided to deploy paramilitary Khasadar and Levies personnel at sensitive places in tribal regions to tackle terrorism threat.
