TOP NEWS

LAHORE: Former Law Minister Punjab, Rana Sanaullah while accepting his deposition, has expressed his determination to appear as a common man, before the judicial commission formed for the investigations of Model Town Incident – ARY News reports.

Rana Sanaullah said so while talking to media outside the Punjab Assembly, for the first time after his removal from the post of Law Minister Punjab.

He said that the decision of his removal was rightly taken by the Chief Minister and he accepts it.

The ex-Law Minister elaborated that Punjab Police and officials of the civil administration had gone only to remove barriers that were placed outside the residence of PAT Chief and Minhaj ul Quran Secretariat. He added that the incident took place there due to mismanagement and the situation that had erupted there.

Rana asked Dr Tahir ul Qadri to listen to the recordings of negotiations of police personnel with his party officials Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Altaf Hussain Shah, prior to declaring the Chief Minister of Punjab as a murderer.

He expressed his confidence over the judicial commission and vowed to appear before it as a common man.

The former Law Minister refrained himself from criticizing Tahir ul Qadri, saying that the PAT Chief cooperated with the Government, upon his return to the country and came out of the plane after holding talks with PMLN-nominated Governor.

Rana claimed, “if talks had failed then Qadri would have agreed upon coming out of the plane after negotiating with CM Shahbaz Sharif and me”.
