Ranbir Kapoor is known for seeking privacy and keeping to himself when the spotlight is not on him. The Bollywood actor recently lost his cool when he was driving at night near his Bandra residence and was caught off guard when a photojournalist clicked a couple of snaps of him. Furious, Ranbir got out of his vehicle and demanded that the photographer hand over his cell phone. Having left with no choice but to give in, the photographer handed over to Ranbir his mobile phone, who drove away with it.
The photographer immediately called his employer Varinder Chawla, who is a famous freelance photographer himself. Chawla tried the cell number of the photographer, whose phone was with Ranbir. The actor had switched off the phone hence Chawla sent him a couple of text messages. In return, Ranbir rang him up and around 1:30 a.m. the Bollywood actor called back.
Ranbir expressly told Varinder Chawla how he hates being followed and what the photographer did was out of line. Chawla responded by telling Kapoor how the man was only doing his job however, the actor was in no mood to listen and threatened to file a police complaint in case the incident was ever repeated.
After being given the assurance that the incident would not happen again, Ranbir told the employer to send his photographer to his house at 4 a.m. to retrieve his phone.
It may be interesting to note that Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor’s ex-girlfriend, had also lashed out at a photojournalist sometime earlier on being snapped.
