Ranbir Kapoor playing Sanjay Dutt in upcoming biopic drama film has created much buzz ever since it went on floors.

The expectations from Rajkumar Hirani directorial has always been high after his back to back superhits like Munna Bhai MBBS, a classic cult, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 idiots and PK.

The biopic flick, Sanju is set to release on June 29 this year. There is much excitement around for the film as it will again bring to life the controversies and scandals linked to Sanjay Dutt. Plus, Ranbir’s perfectly carrying off Sanjay’s look is a topping on the cake.

Despite having all that’s needed to be a super hero, Ranbir has some hard luck in movies. He has failed to deliver one big hit even with the best of directors such as Anurag Kashyap for ‘Bombay Velvet’, Imtiaz Ali for ‘Tamasha’ and Karan Johar for ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.

The actor debuted into production with his last film ‘Jagga Jasoos’, but this also failed to leave a mark at the Box Office. This all has made the actor little nervous and for a valid reason.

Still waiting for the lady luck’s smile at him for a breakthrough in his career, Ranbir has reportedly shown the rushes of ‘Sanju’ to some of his very close friends including Karan Johar to get a feedback, and if the rumours are to be believed they hav all given a positive feedback about not just Ranbir’s performance but the complete package.

Sources said the film is all-out hilarious and will unveil shocking anecdotes of Sanjay Dutt’s life. “People will discover truths about Sanju’s younger days too in the film,” the sources said.

Sanju is also starring Dia Mirza, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Karishma Tanna, Jim Sarbh, Vicky Kaushal and Tabu in special roles.
