We’ve seen Ranbir Kapoor play all sorts of characters throughout his Bollywood career, from a deaf and mute to a rockstar. With his exceptionally good looks, he can also successfully pull off a chocolate hero role opposite any actress. However, if reports in the media are to be believed, Ranbir will be playing a superhero in his next upcoming Ayan Mukerji film!
And the actress sharing screen space with Ranbir will be none other than the uber-talented Alia Bhatt. Though details remain a little unclear and shady as to the exact characteristic of the superhero. Ranbir currently has too much on his plate, as he is involved in shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha and Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos as well. In Tamasha, Ranbir stars with Deepika Padukone and in Jagga Jasoos, he will be the lead hero and star opposite his girlfriend in real life, Katrina Kaif. His film Bombay Velvet is to be released soon.
A source close to the project confirmed, “Once Bombay Velvet is out of the way, Ranbir will finish Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos and Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha in two schedules as both are expected to hit the theatres this year. When he recently met with his team to chart out his plan for 2016, Ayan’s film was the first to get a slot as RK is really excited about playing a caped crusader.”
Ranbir will be heavily involved in the project, from the script to character evolving as well. “It’s been planned as a trilogy and both Ayan and RK are involved in developing the character’s back story,” added the source.
We have no doubt Ranbir Kapoor will act out this character of his with efficiency and adeptness as an actor. Plus with Alia by his side, the film is sure to gross big when it releases, most probably by the end of 2016.
