Rangers arrest 11 suspects during raids in Karachi
KARACHI: Rangers arrested 11 suspects during raids in different areas of the city in the wee hours of Saturday morning, ARY News reported.
Paramilitary Rangers arrested Muhammad Arfeen, an alleged activist of MQM-London, in a raid in Nazimabad. He had committed several heinous crimes, Rangers sources said.
Rangers personnel in another raid nabbed five members of a notorious allegedly involved in various robberies in Korangi, Shah Faisal Town, and Defence areas of Karachi. The suspects confessed of committing burglary and shooting unarmed citizens on resistance in Dalmia and Vita Chowrangi and a cop in Boat Basin area.
The officials will send the weapons seized from the arrested criminals for forensic test.
Separately, five drug-peddlers were arrested from Saeedabad, Sohrab Goth, and Nazimabad areas and weapons and narcotics recovered from their possession.
