KARACHI: Law enforcement personnel apprehended at least 34 suspects in ongoing targeted raids in the metropolis on Sunday, ARY News reported.
According to Rangers spokesman, a militant of banned terrorist outfit, elements affiliated with the gang war and extortionists were also among the arrested persons.
The raids were conducted in New Karachi, SITE Metroville, Karimabad, Musarrat Colony, Pathan Colony, Frontier Colony, Zia Colony, Patel Para, Abdullah Shah Ghazi Goth, Golden Town, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Rabia City, areas near Millennium Mall and Bin Qasim Town.
A cache of weapons were also recovered from the arrested suspects.
Thousands of suspects have been arrested by law enforcers so far in its ongoing targeted operations, however most of the arrested ones could not be convicted due to lack of sufficient evidence.
