Rangers arrest 90 suspects; 6 more killed in spasm of violence

KARACHI: In continuation of targeted operations against criminals across the city, Rangers on Friday apprehended 90 suspects in different raids, ARY News reported.

The arrested suspects also include a gang involved in selling fake police uniforms. In raids around Sohrab Goth and Mullah Essa Goth area, Rangers personnel captured at least 50 suspects affiliated with banned terrorist outfit.

Police arrested a man identified as Farid, involved in bank robberies and sending bullets to doctors as threat message.

Three criminals were also arrested from Shahrah-e-Quaideen for his involvement in target killings and extortion collection.                                                                                 

Despite ongoing operation against criminals, the killings are continued unabated as six more people fallen prey to violence. A man was killed in firing incident near Manghopir, Sultanabad.                                                                                   

A man, who had sustained injuries after a cracker blast in Lyari, breathed his last today. A body was found near Edhi Home Centre, Super Highway. A man was also gunned in New Muzaffarabad Colony.

Two persons were also murdered near Cattle Colony, Landhi.

In addition, at least five people were injured in a cracker attack near Soldier Bazaar, Garden.
