Rangers arrest extortionist couple from Lyari

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Tuesday apprehended an extortionist couple from Lyari, ARY News reported.

According to details, the couple used to extort money from traders, of which the Rangers’ special task force received complaint from a local merchant.

The complainant was handed a “bhatta parchi” – a chit demanding protection money from the receiver – a few days ago.

A woman today arrived to receive money from the trader, who was apprehended by Rangers personnel.

The woman told that her husband was also a partner in the crime, who was too nabbed by the paramilitary men upon identification by his wife.
