Rangers arrest four target killers from Lyari

KARACHI: Paramilitary Rangers in a raid in Chakiwara arrested four target killers and captured illegal weapons from their possession, ARY News reported on Saturday.

According to sources, the four alleged target killers were linked with Lyari Gang War. They have confessed involvement in killing of more than 100 people, kidnapping for ransom, extortion and other heinous crimes.

A large quantity of weapons captured from the possession of the accused, sources said. Arrested men have been transferred to undisclosed place for interrogation, sources added.

Armed men on motorcycles gunned down a policeman at M.A. Jinnah Road this morning. Deceased policeman has been identified as Yousuf and he was posted at Garden Headquarters, police sources said.

In another incident of firing armed men opened fire at a dumper in Steel Town. A man was killed and another injured in the incident.

During a robbery incident at Jinnah Square in Malir, civilian shot dead the robber who was identified as Mohammad Ali, police sources said.

In a late night incident Kalri police station personnel signalled three motorcycle riders to stop but they opened fire over the policemen. The police in counter fire injured three accused and arrested them.

According to police the accused were fleeing after a robbery. Police captured arms and a snatched motorbike from them, officials said.
