Rangers arrests Asad Kharal after raid near Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Asad Kharal, who is allegedly a close aide of the brother of Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal, has been arrested after a raid by law-enforcement agencies near here, ARY News reported.

Kharal has fled from the custody of intelligence after his arrest by the paramilitary force in Larkana. More than 10 people including his close confidante were also arrested in the preceding raids.

Muhammad Ali alias Asad Kharal is accused in various criminal cases including aiding and abetting terrorism. He was earlier believed to have fled to Dubai, after being brought out of the custody of intelligence agencies.

The Rangers conducted  a rigorous manhunt for him until he was arrested. He has been transferred to an undisclosed location for further interrogation about his criminal activities.

Sindh Advisor on Information Maulabux Chandio has downplayed the arrest of Kharal. He said that it was a routine operation and had no significance. He said that there has been several instances when the federal government has interfered in the affairs of the Sindh government.
