Rangers capture two suspected killers in Karachi

KARACHI: In an intelligence-based operation (IBO), Sindh Rangers on Tuesday arrested two alleged killers from Landhi area of Karachi, ARY News reported.

In raids at Landhi No2 and Ilyas Goth, Rangers arrested two suspects, namely Shahid and Altaf Baig, said the Sindh Rangers spokesperson.

The Rangers spokesman said the suspects had confessed to killing Asif in Al-Falah area on March 30. A case about murder of Asif was registered at Al-Falah police station by the victim’s brother.

He said the suspects had a dispute with the deceased over money.

“They invited Asif over a meal and made him drink an intoxicant substance which left him unconscious and then they murdered him,” the spokesman said.

The suspects were handed over to police for legal action.

On March 31, Sindh Rangers had collared 11 suspects during raids in different areas of Karachi.

The captured suspects included target killers, robbers and drug peddlers, the Sindh Rangers spokesperson had said.

The Rangers spokesman had said weapons, narcotics and looted valuables were recovered from their possession.

The suspects were arrested from Shah Faisal Colony, Madina Colony, Sir Syed, Frere, Surjani Town.

The spokesman had said the suspects had been handed over to police for legal action.
