Rangers gun down two TTP militants in Karachi

KARACHI: Rangers gunned down two Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists in an encounter at Northern Bypass of the city, whereas two people were shot dead in shooting incidents in Karachi, ARY News reported.

Suspected TTP terrorists opened fire at the para-military force personnel during a search operation in Khairabad area at Northern Bypass. Two armed men were killed in the retaliatory fire of the Rangers. One of the slain terrorists was identified as Ikram Mehsud.

Weapons, suicide jackets and explosive material were also recovered from the slain terrorists.

The law enforcement agencies arrested three suspects after an encounter at Korangi Town area of Karachi. The arrested persons are said to be involved in scores of heinous crimes including murder and robbery.

Armed men shot dead a man named Nauman in Gulistan-e-Jauhar whereas another man was killed in a shooting incident in Azeempura area of the metropolis.
