Rangers recover weapons from Karachi’s Baldia Town

KARACHI: Pakistan Ranger Sindh on Friday recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition buried underground in an empty plot in Karachi’s Baldia Town area, ARY News reported.

The paramilitary’s spokesman said that the weapons recovered from Musharraf Colony in Baldia Town were likely to used for by miscreants for target killing and fomenting terrorism in the city. He said that weapons belonged to the of the Muttahida Quami Movement – London (MQM-L).

The weapons includes one Small Machine Gun (SMG) with six magazines, five 30-bore pistols and sixteen magazines, two 30-bore rifles with four magazines, two 9mm MP5, two 12-bore shotguns, four bullet proof jackets, and 1968 rounds of ammunition of various weapons.

Kidnapped man safely recovered in Kemari 

In another separate incident, Pakistan Rangers raided and freed a kidnapped man bound in chains from Kemari area.

Rangers acted on tip off and raided flat No. 511 near Masaan chowk area of Kemari and arrested kidnapper named Muhammad Naeem Khan alias Haji.

The kidnapped man named Murad Khan was safely recovered. According to Rangers, he was kidnapped on April 18 along with his friends from Azizabad.

Murad was the owner of Mubarak Hotel and the kidnappers had demanded Rs2.2 million ransom from his family.
