According to details, Shoaib, 17, suspected of raping and killing a six year old child in Green Town area of Lahore, was killed in an encounter as he was being taken to an Anti-Terrorism Court for hearing.
Police said that he tried to escape after stealing a sidearm of a cop. Shoaib opened fire at the law enforcers after they tried to stop him.
He was killed in the retaliatory fire of the policemen.
The suspect had already confessed his crime, sources said.
