Rasheed asks Khan to let nation celebrate Day of Independence

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Information Minister, Pervez Rasheed asked the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan on Friday, not to transform the celebrations of the Independence Day into protests – ARY News reports.

Pervez Rasheed asked Imran Khan not to transform the Independence Day into a day of protests and expressed his hopes that the PTI Chief will let the people celebrate August 14 as a national day.

He told that the Prime Minister presided an important meeting pertaining to North Waziristan, during which the Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) presented a detailed report on the situation of the internally displaced persons (IDPs).

Rasheed added that the meeting stressed on devising a comprehensive policy for the relief of IDPs.

‘On this occasion, the Prime Minister also sought suggestions for celebrating the Independence Day in a splendid manner’, added the Information Minister.
