ISLAMABAD: The sacked Chairman of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), Chaudhry Abdul Rasheed has challenged his dismissal in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) – ARY News reports.
Chaudhry Abdul Rasheed in his petition, stated that he was illegally removed from his post, without listening to his stance. The petition mentioned the Ministry of Law and Information as parties in the case.
Moreover, the case will be heard by Justice Riaz Ahmed Khan of the IHC.
Earlier on April 17, President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain had dismissed Chaudhry Abdul Rasheed from the post of Chairman PEMRA.
Sources had told that President Mamnoon Hussain was forwarded the summary of Chaudhry Abdul Rasheed's dismissal along which the list of allegations on him and an inquiry report was also attached.
