Rasheed not entitled to intervene in Sindh affairs: Sharjeel

TOP NEWS

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said federal minister Pervez Rasheed had no right to intervene in affairs of Sindh, ARY News reported Friday.

In a statement, Memon said Additional IG Karachi Shahid Hayat was removed following Supreme Court orders as he was appointed on Own Pay Scale (OPS).

“Pervez Rasheed seems rudderless as he is now intervening in Sindh affairs,” said Memon.

Rasheed had earlier expressed his reservations on removal of Hayat as Karachi police chief.

Memon asked whether Punjab government would remove the IG Punjab if Sindh government asked for his removal.

No one will be allowed to interfere in Sindh affairs, said the minister.
