Rasheed negates police not discharging its duties
ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister, Pervez Rasheed has turned down the notion that the police is not discharging its duties, saying that yesterday a policeman was also killed during the attack on district court, who was not there on duty – ARY News reports.
Talking to media outside the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan, Pervez Rasheed said that the Government inherited several issues including terrorism, whilst he said that the police is not trained to cope with terrorist activities, yet he affirmed that effective measures are being taken in order to prevent terrorism in the state.
Rasheed told that the Federal Interior Minister is getting 50 bomb disposal vehicles imported from abroad, out of which 5 have reached here.
Commenting on Local Body (LB) elections in the country, the Information Minister clarified that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) is not a hurdle in the way of these polls and claimed that all the LB elections held in the country are conducted by PMLN.
