Rasheed terms Imran’s claims ‘pack of lies’

TOP NEWS

The minister asked, “What is the guarantee that Mr. Khan will not question the findings of judicial commission, if it is formed.” Will he launch movement against the judicial commission, he said while addressing a press conference here.

The minister said Imran had been doing politics of objecting at public welfare projects. “Those who travel in a private jet are censuring others without any proofs,” he said.

He lambasted that PTI chief never appeared before the court for eight months to produce proofs of election rigging.

Background:

The PTI chief, had been demanding recounting of votes and verification of thumb impressions in four NA constituencies of Punjab which are; NA-110 Sialkot from where Minister for Defence and Water and Power Khawaja Mohammad Asif emerged victorious, NA-122 Lahore from where National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq declared winner, NA-125 Lahore from where Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq bagged victory and NA-154 Lodhran, a seat won by Siddiq Khan Baloch.

Since government initially appeared reluctance to probe rigging in aforementioned constituencies, the PTI resorted to street movement in August 14, 2014 with an attempt to topple to the PML-N government, but to no avail.
