Rasheed terms Pakistan a safe country compared to past

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervez Rasheed has said that Pakistan is a safe country as compared to the past, ARY News reports.

Pervez Rasheed, addressing Meet The Press program organized by the Press Gallery of Punjab Assembly, said politically isolated elements wish to see state institutions clash with each other.

He added that the discussion regarding tenure of armed forces chiefs will harm national security and Operation Zarb-e-Azb and the matter should not be discussed publicly.

“COAS General Raheel Sharif’s visit to the United States is the continuation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s tour of the country”, Rasheed said.

The information minister said that the targeted raids in Karachi will continue till the elimination of last terrorist.

He also stated that the cricket series between Pakistan and India can only be played in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
