Rashid Latif to supervise Karachi Kings’ talent hunt
KARACHI: Keeping the promise to bring forth new talent in cricket, Karachi Kings will conduct trials for emerging players for Pakistan Super League (PSL) from October 3, ARY News reported.
The trials will be conducted under the supervision of Karachi Kings’s selection committee comprising veteran cricketers Rashid Latif, Saleem Yousaf, Iqbal Qasim and Jalaluddin.
The participants of this activity aptly named ‘Khiladi Ki Khoj’ is already being termed as the “biggest talent hunt in Pakistan”
Pariticpants will fill up National Stadium and showcase their talent in all three fields of the game before the committee on October 3.
Best performers will be in the PSL’s Emerging Players Draft which will allow them to play for their franchise in PSL’s 2017 edition and can also pave way for their inclusion in Pakistans’ national squad.
About the activity aimed at providing the country’s cricket with fresh blood in the form of talented players, team owner and ARY Networks CEO Salman Iqbal maintained that this talent hunt is just the beginning of a new era in Pakistan’s cricket as the selection emerging players will prove to be another milestone in the national cricketing arena.
