RAWALPINDI: Police on Friday night removed the containers placed around Sheikh Rashid’s Lal Haveli residence in Rawalpindi, ARY News reported.

According to details, the administration cleared the routes around Lal Haveli by removing the containers placed in the area.

The containers, also placed in other parts of the garrison city, have also been removed.

The government had placed containers to restrain the participants and political parties leaders to reach Committee Chowk, the venue of a rally, for an anti-government protest.

Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in an stunning act of courage reached to the venue on Friday on a motorcycle and challenged the security men at the venue to arrest him if they can.

Rashid, while speaking to ARY News, had said that the Lal Haveli has become headquarter of containers. He had demanded the government to remove the containers from the area.

AML and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protesters clashed with Police and law enforcement personnel at the venue of a proposed protest rally.
