Recruitment on 860 seats in Pakistan Railways to be held via NTS

LAHORE: Federal Minister of Railways, Khwaja Saad Rafique has said that the PTI Chairman, Imran Khan kept everyone engaged in politics, but now all attention would be paid towards the improvement of country and Pakistan Railways (PR) – ARY News reports.

He was talking to media on the occasion of the induction of power engines imported from China, in Pakistan Railways. Saad Rafique said that Imran Khan kept everyone engaged in politics, but now the improvement of the country and railways will be focused. He clarified that there is no suggestion under consideration, pertaining to an increase in fares.

Saad told that railways will have a bit tough time during this summer, however after that engines will not fail and all the trains will be moving smoothly across the country.

He stated that 9 more engines will be received in next 15-20 days.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Railways and NTS also signed an agreement at the Railways Headquarters Lahore, under which recruitment for 860 vacant seats in railways, will be held through NTS.

The Minister for Railways said that now nobody will be recruited in railways on the basis of political affiliation, only meritorious people will be recruited.
