Red zone: Security high alert, police provided electric batons

ISLAMABAD: Authorities have sought more containers for ensuring that the marchers may not enter into important buildings in the red zone, while the police have also been provided electric batons for this purpose, ARY News reported.

According to details, blockades have been placed in Faizabad, Rawalpindi and the way leading to the federal capital was closed, while the Margalla Road that leads to the Parliament House has also been sealed completely.

Meanwhile, police have also been provided electric batons to prevent the protesters from entering into the Parliament House and other important buildings.

Islamabad Police has also sought more containers for the security of the red zone.

The protesters of both Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) are expected to advance after announcement by their leadership.

Earlier, Dr Tahirul Qadri had also asked his followers to pack-up their tents and to be prepared for kicking out the rulers.
