RAWALPINDI: In response to India’s false propaganda about downing Pakistan’s F-16 fighter jet during recent escalation in February, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday said that “repetitions did not make truth of a lie”.
The military’s media wing said that despite claiming possession of evidence on shooting F-16, Indian Air Force (IAF) still short of presenting it.
ISPR spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor said in a tweet, “Do not overlook Pakistan’s silence for not drum beating losses on Indian side.”
He said that the fact was that Pakistan Air Force shot down two IAF’s jets and added that wreckage of the Indian aircraft was seen on the ground by all.

Earlier, a leading US magazine Foreign Policy on April 5 had rejected Indian claim of shooting down Pakistani F-16 during recent escalation in February.
Two senior US defense officials having direct knowledge of the situation had told the magazine that US personnel recently counted F-16s in Pakistan and found none of them missing.
The magazine had said, India had once again misled the world through baseless and false claims.
The findings directly contradict the account of Indian Air Force officials, who said Indian air force shot down a Pakistani F-16 in recent dogfight.
